Hiring JavaScript engineers for CrossLend in Berlin

Founded in Berlin in 2014, CrossLend provides a digital debt marketplace with a mission to make lending and investment more efficient, transparent and profitable. Through an innovative securitisation setup it connects originator supply with institutional investor demand, letting lenders lend more and investors deploy capital more efficiently.

Following a successful campaign where Consortia helped CrossLend hire Product Managers in Berlin, the client re-engaged Consortia's engineering team to identify JavaScript engineers.

The search for JavaScript engineers had been open for three months when CrossLend asked Consortia for support.

Consortia arranged an initial briefing call with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring manager to understand the requirements and the challenges they had faced in securing the right engineers.

Consortia consulted on the interview process and salary level, and put a service level agreement in place for an effective recruitment process.

Consortia submitted six candidates over ten days. All six were taken to first interview, three to second stage and two to final, resulting in one offer.

The offer was accepted and the placed engineer was in post within eight weeks of first contact. Their notice period was initially 12 weeks, but Consortia consulted with them to reduce it, allowing a much earlier start than expected. The total recruitment process took three weeks.
