Urgent freelance UX talent for an eCommerce platform rebuild

Arvato Bertelsmann is a global services company headquartered in Gütersloh, Germany, with distributed teams across Europe and the United States. Its services include customer support, IT, logistics and finance. It reports an annual turnover of £4bn and around 30,000 employees in nearly 30 countries.

Arvato were undertaking a full eCommerce platform update and needed urgent help to identify and secure user experience resource to ensure the platform had the very best user experience.

They had not previously hired user experience resource into this team and needed consulting to identify the right type of freelance resource. The hiring manager and key stakeholders were based in the United States, requiring close coordination across time zones.
